Last night Sheila came along to listen to Honey! Straight away she said that Honey was unbalanced which stemed from the fact she cannot keep a possible vitamin in her diet! Also that Honey is happy with us but that we are taking things too slowly for her and she needs to be kept active! Honey does not like the fact that one of the other horses in the yard shows no respect for her owners and will not stand when being tacked up! She hates bad manners at feed time. It was a wierd experience and quiet a bit of what was said really did ring true. Today I am going for a pro-biotic to help with absorption although any other ideas very well come!!

Honey

In July we posted that Caitlin and Honey were slowly working at the join up method. We are pleased to say that since then we have managed to have Caitlin riding Honey at walk on the lunge. To night we are having someone come along to listen to Honey and see if there is anything else we can do to help her along.

Floods

Friday 4th September Morayshire got the brunt of the floods. The road between Garmouth and Kingston was impassable. The golf course was completely under water and fields were devasted.

Companion Show Roseisle

Every year Spey Valley dog training club run a companion show for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. They made a profit of £560 which will go to the Hearing dogs.
Caitlin handled Gus to Best Puppy
Glenn handled Kia in the terrier class and was 2nd, then won the junior handling class

Molly

22nd August Romainville Blue Velvet at Karensbrae was put to sleep. Our family is devastated. She came to us September 1996 from Kathy George and has been a joy to show but first and foremost she was her mums baby.

Team Forbes Ceilidh 1st Inka 2ndCeilidh went Best Terrier

Caitlin and Gus were 2nd in junior handling.

Highland Canine Association in Dingwall

Caitlin and Fergus were best of breed, group 3 and best terrier veteran. Sue and Desmond were best of breed, group 2 and best toy veteran.

Caitlin handled Jazz to best junior handler.

Ria and Jasper 1st 6-11 junior pushed Caitlin very hard for best junior also best Toy NSC and best toy in show. Lewis and Oscar 2nd in 6-11 and Kirsty and her puppy cocker 3rd.

Inka looking very smart and was 2nd in open NSC terrier.

Not a bad day for us.

Caitlin

Yesterday Caitlin was 15 years old. As her favourite film and musical was Annie when she was younger we thought we would suprise her with a visit to Eden Court. We picked the busiest performance and it was fantastic. Sue Pollard was a great Miss Hannigan. The star of the show had to be Danny the dog who played Sandy (soft coated wheaten terrier).
Later she had some friends over for a sleep over as usual not much sleeping was done.
We will post some photos later.

Companion Show

On Sunday we went to Westfield House in Elgin for a Companion Show. the only pictures I have of us is Caitlin with a pointer as I was stewarding.

Dundee Open Show

Today we went to Camperdown Park in Dundee.

Caitlin and Gillie went Best of Breed. Caitlin was also 4th in the Young Kennel handling from a class of 11.

Glenn and Inka. Glenn handled Inka in the AVNSC terrier class to 4th place. He then won the 6-11 Young Kennel handling class with Inka.

Caitlin asked our friend if she could have a try at showing their dog Gillie this is the before and after pictures getting ready for tomorrows show.

Honey

We have had Honey around a year now. Although Caitlin can sit on her back we have since learn that Honey had been running feral in the New Forest and had not been in human contact for the first 3 years of her life. So we have really gone back to basics, it has been a very long and sometimes not very rewarding. She has now accepted and joined up using the long rope method. So watch this space.

Thought we would update you. We only have one pup left, the smallest one although we thought was doing okey just faded away. Other pup holding his own at the moment.

Todays walk

Today Mum and Caitlin went off to Findhorn for their girls group. I on the other hand was left with Nanny, after Diagnosis Murder(YAWN) and Doctors(COUGH) we went on a walk to The Lein. On this walk we took Inka, Poppy and Rowan.

Bon Accord dog show

After the stress of the previous puppy activities Caitlin and I decided that we would still go to Bon-Accord dog show. It is held out doors with no wet weather facilities, though the sun was out all day.

The terrier group line up. Poppy was group 2.

Caitlin and Inka Best Junior Handler, Caitlin's 12-16 class had an entry of 16 in it.

Ria and Jasper won the Pug yearling class and then Ria won the 6-11 junior handling class with an entry of 8.
