The Karensbrae kennel started out with West highland White Terriers in 1974. Since then we have added Glen of Imaal terriers and more recently Cesky terriers.
Caitlin took part in the YKC groomer of the year competition and was really pleased to get a 2nd in her class. She borrowed a cesky from a friend to clip and did a great job.
She handled Inka in cesky open and was 3rd. Ceilidh was 3rd in the veteren glen of imaal class.
We have been to a few shows recently and both Caitlin and Glenn have enjoyed some success in their handling classes.Caley show in Edinburgh Caitlin was 1st in both her junior handling classes while Glenn had 2 2nds in his he now has to move up to Caitlin's class.
Solo has so far this year won 3 minor puppy classes, got a puppy group 1,2 and 4.
Bramble and Glenn were 2nd in Terrier veteran and 3rd in Junior handling with his friends Ria and Jasper winning his class and Kirsty and Ruby 4th also Chloe although not placed did really well as she had never taken place in the handling before.
Caitlin and Solo also had a very good day with 1st in Minor puppy and puppy group 2. Also in the handling class was very happy with her 2nd to Becky.
Ceilidh really enjoyed her day out with BOB and group 3.
Due to the ever ending severe weather we are not risking going to planned dog shows, Ceilidh above is enjoying the snow!!
We decided that we could clip the horses this is Francis with her owner Kate.
Caitlin with the probelm pony Honey!! What a joy she is turning out to be, stood like a pro to be clipped then off round the field with Caitlin to show her clip off!! Hopefully we will be dogshowing next weekend although we hope the weather will warm up a bit as it is the auction mart in Inverurie for the show.
Today we should have been at the first dogshow of the year. We are still having lots of snow and the road between us and Aviemore was not good yesterday so we thought we would not take the risk!! So Caitlin decided that we would all go out with the horses, I am on Saracen you can just see his ear!!
I have been involved in showing dogs for 35 years. We started with westies and now have glen of imaals and cesky terriers.
I am married with 2 children both enjoy the dog scene.
